Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS), the requirements of the textile supply chain documented by independent certification, including ecological and social criteria for the processing of organic fibres, including the standards specified in world standards.
The aim of this standard is to provide a reliable and trustworthy service to the end consumer with an environmentally and socially responsible production approach. It defines the conditions for ensuring the organic status of raw materials from harvesting to labelling.
With this certificate, which is accepted in all important markets, textile manufacturers can easily export their organic fabrics and ready-to-wear products. This standard covers the production, processing, packaging, labelling, trade and distribution of all textile products made from organic natural fibres with at least 70% certification. End products may include, but are not limited to, fibre products, yarn, fabric, garments, fashion textile accessories (carried or worn), textile toys, home textiles, bedding and bedding as well as textile personal care products.
