Described by Pantone as strong, inspiring and fearless, Viva Magenta is described as ‘An unusual colour for an unusual time. A subtle red tone that balances hot and cold”.

Viva Magenta, which is expected to shape the fashion of 2023, is defined as a shade that vibrates with vitality, is rooted in nature, comes from the red family and is a new power signal, and is preparing to be the most popular colour of 2023 as a strong, inspiring, fearless colour with its vibrant red tones. Leatrice Eiseman, President of the Pantone Colour Institute, said: “We chose this extraordinary colour because we think it is appropriate for the extraordinary period we are living in and because we think it can reflect our vision.”

Pantone also described 2023 as a bold, humorous and all-encompassing colour that revels in pure happiness, is not afraid to experiment and expresses itself without restraint.

The new colour of Pantone, Viva Magenta, which creates a new colour instead of choosing a colour from among the existing colours, is expected to become the focus of manufacturers as a trend in many areas within the year, and especially to become the fashion colour of textile manufacturers.
